Bread pizza swaps the pizza dough for a slice of bread. You add sauce, veggies, and cheese on top, then cook it till the cheese melts. It is a favorite quick snack in many Indian homes.
Compared to regular pizza, this one comes together fast and still tastes great. It is also easy on the wallet. If you have these basic things in your pantry, you can make it for breakfast or an evening snack. It is a nice one to share with family or guests.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Quick to make – It is ready in about 15 minutes from start to finish.
- Budget friendly – You only need a few cheap, basic ingredients.
- No dough, no fuss – Bread does the job, so there is no kneading or waiting.
- Kid friendly – You can leave the chili flakes off for little ones.
- Great any time – Works for breakfast, a snack, or a light bite with guests.
Ingredient Notes

- Bread slices – Use fresh bread. Old bread breaks apart when you cut or lift it.
- Grated cheese – Mozzarella melts best, but any melting cheese works.
- Capsicum, onion, tomato – Chop them small so they cook fast and sit flat on the bread.
- Tomato ketchup – This is your base sauce. You can swap in pizza sauce if you have it.
- Mayonnaise – A thin layer adds a creamy taste under the toppings.
- Chili flakes – Add just a little, or none, so kids can eat it too.
How to Make Bread Pizza in Air Fryer
1. Wash the onion, capsicum, and tomato well. Take the seeds out of the tomato, then wash again. Cut all three into small cubes.
2. Spread tomato ketchup evenly on both bread slices with the back of a spoon. Add a thin layer of mayonnaise on top of the ketchup.
3. Spread the chopped onion, capsicum, and tomato evenly over the bread. Add the grated cheese on top. Sprinkle on just a little chili flakes, or skip it here so everyone can add their own later.

4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for 3 to 5 minutes. Place the bread pizza in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C (360°F) for 5 to 7 minutes.

5. When the edges turn golden and you see a light charred or blistered look on top, the pizza is ready. The cheese should be fully melted and the bread edges should feel crisp.

6. Take it out and serve hot. Let each person add extra chili flakes on top if they like.

Expert Tips
- Use fresh bread. If the bread is a few days old, it turns dry and breaks when you handle it.
- Go easy on the chili flakes while cooking, or leave them off. Keep the flakes on the table so each person, even kids, can add as much as they want.
- Do not pile on too much ketchup. A thin, even layer keeps the bread from going soft.
- Keep the pieces in one layer in the basket. Crowding them cooks the cheese unevenly.
What to Serve With It
Bread pizza is nice on its own, but a few sides make it a small meal. A cold drink on the side rounds it out for an evening snack. I like to serve it hot with:
