This custard jelly dessert is a fun, creamy, and refreshing treat made with fruity jelly, smooth homemade custard, and fresh fruit. It’s an easy no-bake dessert that looks beautiful and tastes light and sweet.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack jelly mix
  • 4 tablespoons custard powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 500 ml milk
  • 500 ml water
  • apple (chopped)
  • pomegranate

Instructions

  • Open jelly mix packet. There is 2 sachet inside the jelly mix pack, mix them well.
  • In a bowl or cup take 500 ml hot, boiled water.
  • Add jelly mix powder and mix gently until a fine syrup.
  • Immediately pour the jelly mix liquid into the glass. Only half fill the glass and let it rest on room temperature. After 45 to 50 minute jelly will set and become hard and firm.
  • Now add 500 ml of milk to a pan and bring it to a boil.
  • In a separate bowl, add 5 to 6 tablespoons of boiled milk and add 4 tablespoons of custard powder. Mix it well and make sure there is no lump.
  • Add the custard slurry to boiling milk and keep stirring while pouring the custard slurry.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of suger in custard. Keep stirring and cook it for 6 to 8 minutes, you will see the custard will start thickening.
  • At this stage, turn off the flame, add some chopped apple and Pomegranate. You can add any fruit of your choice.
  • Pour this custard in half filled jelly glass. Garnish with some extra fruit. And let it rest for another 10 to 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Enjoy it cold.

Notes

  • Use seasonal fruits for the best flavor and freshness. Avoid watery fruits like watermelon that can release liquid.
  • Chill long enough before serving for the jelly and custard layers to firm up nicely.
  • You can set the dessert in a large bowl or individual glasses for a fancier look.
