Crispy air fryer bread rolls stuffed with veggies and melted cheese. A quick, low oil snack ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ small capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 1 small tomato (finely chopped (deseeded))
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  • Wash and finely chop the onion, capsicum, tomato (deseeded), and coriander leaves.
  • In a bowl, mix the chopped veggies with mayonnaise, ketchup, chili flakes, grated cheese, and coriander until evenly combined.
  • Trim the bread edges and roll each slice thin and flat with a rolling pin.
  • Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each slice, roll up, seal the edge, and secure with a toothpick.
  • Brush the rolls all over with melted butter.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Air fry the rolls at 180°C (360°F) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once, until golden and crisp.
  • Remove the toothpicks and serve hot with ketchup or chutney.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft bread so it rolls without cracking.
  • Deseed the tomato to keep the filling dry and the rolls crisp.
  • Do not overfill, or the rolls will tear and leak.
  • Leave space between rolls in the basket for even cooking.
