This quick gooseberry chutney is a bright, tangy, and refreshing blend of fresh amla, garlic leaves, chilies, and garlic. It comes together in just a few minutes and adds a lively kick to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 7 amla (Indian gooseberries)
  • 6 spring garlic leaves
  • 3 green chilies
  • 7 garlic cloves
  • salt to taste

Instructions 

  • Wash the amla well, cut them into small pieces, and remove the seeds. Also wash and chop the spring garlic so they blend smoothly. Clean the chilies and peel the garlic cloves.
  • Add everything to a grinder with salt and blend into a smooth chutney.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic leaves for the best fragrance and flavor.
  • Adjust the chilies to match your spice preference.
  • Add only a few drops of water if your grinder needs help.
