This butter masala corn is simple, cozy, and full of flavor. Sweet corn is cooked with butter, garlic, and spices, then finished with lemon and fresh coriander. It’s quick to make, deliciously spiced, and perfect as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup sweet corn
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 pinches black pepper
  • 3 pinches cumin powder
  • 4 pinches salt
  • 3 pinches chaat masala
  • 3 pinches red chili powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  • Add sweet corn and water to a pan, then boil for about 20 minutes until the corn is soft. Drain well.
  • Heat butter in a pan. Add chopped garlic and saute for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the boiled corn and cook on low flame for 8–10 minutes so it absorbs the garlic-butter flavor.
  • Mix in salt, black pepper, cumin powder, red chili powder, and chaat masala. Stir until the corn is evenly coated.
  • Turn off the heat, add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well and serve hot.

Notes

  • For best flavor, serve the corn hot just after cooking, while it’s buttery and fresh.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili powder and chaat masala to suit your taste.
