This fresh Indian cilantro chutney (also known as coriander leaves chutney) is bright, herby, and full of lively flavors that lift any meal or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 tomato
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 3 green chilies
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Cut off the roots of the cilantro and chop them, and wash them thoroughly. Slice or cube the tomato and peel the garlic cloves. Add the green chilies and salt to taste. Add all ingredients in grinder jar.
  • Grind everything together into a smooth paste.

Notes

  • Use only fresh green coriander for the brightest color and taste.
  • Increase or reduce the green chilies to match your heat preference.
  • Tomato gives natural moisture so the chutney blends smoothly without thinning out too much.
  • Store the chutney in an airtight container and finish it within one to two days for the freshest flavor.
