Hot, golden frozen french fries made in the air fryer in just 15 minutes. No thawing needed and no extra oil required.
- 2 cups frozen french fries (any cut)
- Salt (to taste (optional))
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the frozen fries straight from the freezer to the air fryer basket. Do not thaw them first.
Spread the fries in an even layer. Do not overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
At the 7 to 8 minute mark, shake the basket to help the fries cook evenly.
When the fries are golden and done, remove them from the basket and serve immediately with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
- Do not overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches for the best results.
- Check fries at 12 minutes if your air fryer runs hot. Add 2 to 3 minutes if they need more color.
- Thick fries like steak fries may need 18 to 20 minutes total.
- Serve immediately for the best texture. Fries soften quickly once they cool.
- To reheat leftovers, air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 3 to 4 minutes.
