About Me

Hi there! I’m Gulista, the founder of Delicious Bucket, a home cook, a wife, and a proud mom to one amazing kid who happens to be my favorite food critic.

My cooking journey started way back in 2005 (yes, I’ve been doing this longer than some recipes have existed on the internet). Back then, our house was always full of family and guests. My father, uncles, relatives, and visitors were always coming over, which basically meant one thing, the kitchen was always busy.

I spent most of my time there helping my mom cook big family meals. Together we made all kinds of dishes, from everyday comfort food to special treats for guests. Somewhere between stirring pots and tasting sauces, I realized something important, I didn’t just like cooking… I loved it.

By the time I was in college, people started calling me the “recipe developer” of the family. I was always experimenting, trying new flavors, and serving food like it was a mini restaurant at home. The compliments made me even more excited to keep cooking (free motivation works great).

Back then, I had no idea about websites or food blogging. I just knew how to cook and how to make people happy with food.

After I got married, things changed in the best way. My husband runs an ecommerce business and understands websites and online work. He encouraged me to turn my passion into something bigger and helped me set up Delicious Bucket. That’s how this whole journey officially began.

And yes, the name Delicious Bucket has a fun story too.

At first, I thought about using my own name as the brand (like gulista.com), but my husband had a smarter idea. He wanted a name that could grow into a restaurant someday. “Delicious” stands for flavor, and “Bucket” represents bowls, skillets, one-pot meals, and comfort food served generously. Basically, good food in big happy portions.

And honestly, I loved it.

Today, every recipe you see on Delicious Bucket is tested in my own kitchen. I truly believe in real cooking, not just writing recipes. If my family doesn’t enjoy a dish, it never makes it to the website. No matter how pretty it looks.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but with my husband’s support and my passion for learning, I’ve grown a lot. I’m constantly learning about food photography, Pinterest, Google, blogging, and how to make Delicious Bucket better every single day. And honestly, I’m loving every part of it.

If you ever have a question, feedback, or just want to say hello, feel free to email me at [email protected], or you can also visit our contact page anytime.

Thanks for being here and cooking along with me!

Happy Cooking,
Gulista
