This mushroom stir fry with soy sauce is quick, flavorful, and perfect for busy days. Juicy mushrooms and fresh vegetables are cooked in butter with simple sauces for an easy, satisfying dish

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce mushrooms
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 mild green pepper
  • 1 medium-sized onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • spring onion
  • cilantro
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions 

  • First, heat a frying pan and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Once the butter melts, add the chopped garlic and green chilies. Saute for about 2 minutes.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and fry them for 3 minutes.
  • When the mushrooms are cooked, add the sliced capsicum, mild green pepper, onion, and chopped spring onion.
  • Mix all the vegetables well, then add black pepper, salt, hot sauce, and soy sauce. Cook while stirring for 2–3 minutes until the vegetables become slightly soft.
  • After 2–3 minutes, add the chopped cilantro and mix once. Turn off the flame.
  • Your hot and delicious mushroom stir fry is ready to serve.

Notes

  • Cook mushrooms on medium heat to avoid releasing too much water.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan for best stir-fry texture.
  • Adjust soy sauce and hot sauce to taste.
